| For the first half the week we stayed on the outskirts of Grasmere. Hence a walk encompassing Helm Crag is compulsory! A good route going out to Helm Crag, Calf Crag to High Raise and back via Sergeant Man and Blea Rig. Good views across to the nearby Langdale Pikes. In hindsight, I should have continued on the ridge to Silver Howe. 13 miles, 3800ft ascent. |
